From refining your destination choices (and perhaps pointing you towards some surprise wild cards that will get under your skin in the best way), to finding the perfect venue; building a cohesive and soulful design concept that’s fiercely personal to the two of you, sourcing a professional and values-driven team of suppliers who instinctively understand your vision, handling every last bit of logistical co-ordination, and travelling with you to oversee everything in person and ensure the event we’ve planned together comes to life exactly as you’ve dreamed.

How far in advance should we start wedding planning?
I strive to be as flexible as possible, as I understand everyone has different commitments and timelines. However, too much time spent planning your wedding, will likely make you second guess your decisions later on and take the fun out of the experience! Equally you don't want to feel rushed, as that will inevitably lead to stress, particularly if your favourite suppliers aren't available.
For weddings and elopements a timeframe of around 12 months is ideal, however I'm happy to take bookings up to 18 months in advance. In terms of the minimum lead time required, it depends on the destination, season, number of guests, your dreams and expectations. If you are unsure whether to start planning your
wedding now, reach out to me for a chat and we will figure out the best plan for you and your celebration.
You specialise in unusual, uncharted locations, does that mean you won’t consider somewhere like Paris or The Algarve?
This is a great question. My focus on off-the-beaten track locations comes from a hunger for sincere and authentic experiences that are far from that ‘tourist brochure’ gloss, which frequently equals style over substance. If our values are aligned and you feel an affinity with my approach, then I would love to find you hidden gems within even the most popular of destinations. But prepare for a (gentle and friendly) grilling as to why that particular destination means so much to you!
Where are the suppliers you work with based?
As an international destination wedding and elopement planner I work with suppliers all over the world. My job is to help you choose allies that will be as excited as you are to bring your vision to life. Just like you, I champion local produce and authenticity and I will always do my utmost to ensure the local community and economy of the destination benefits from my events. I am conscious of the environmental impact caused by the wedding industry and I feel a responsibility to minimise my business footprint as much as I can. From the couple's perspective it's also about securing the best possible suppliers that fit with your dream vision and budget, so where needed I won't hesitate to search further afield.
Do you take commissions from suppliers?
The relationships with my couples and fellow colleagues are built on collaboration, mutual trust, respect and honesty. My fees are based on a percentage of budget. It would be unfair for me to take a commission from a wedding supplier if this is charged back to you, the client. I want the relationships I have nurtured with suppliers to be beneficial to you and not an additional cost! In the world of destination weddings where events and travel combine, it’s worth noting that services such as accommodation and transfers often have a commission included as it is standard practice in the travel industry. I’ll be totally transparent with you about this as we go, though. No hidden extras here, ever.
Will you book our suppliers for us?
I will source, liaise, and manage your suppliers and also advise on the best offer for your needs and budget. I will assist with revising terms, ask any questions you might have and set up payment reminders for you. However the contractual agreement will be between yourselves and the supplier and you will be paying them directly. This ensures full transparency of the service booked and paid for.
We’re overwhelmed! How do we figure out the style of our wedding?
First and foremost, don’t panic and don’t overthink. This is one of the crucial things that I am here to help you with. You already have the tools at your disposal to design a spectacular wedding, it’s a question of teasing them out by exploring the things that inspire you, that light you up and that make you excited. If you don’t have a clear sense of colour schemes or floral varietals that is very much ok! I work from elements outside the world of weddings to start building your design concept. Bring me your favourite places, childhood memories that hold special meaning for you, architecture you love, the food you’d take to a desert island or the song that gets you dancing. All of these hold the keys to your incredible wedding style.
